Introduction of XTC Tungsten Carbide Welding Ropes

In the petroleum exploration industry, drilling pump pressure is increasing continuously which make drill bits get erosion easily. The corresponding service conditions of drill bits are becoming more and more complex and bad, so there`s a higher requirement for further welding layer on drill bits. At present, the wear-resistant surfacing layer for PDC drill bits of petroleum drilling tools mainly relies on imported Welding Rope. The tungsten carbide flexible welding rope which developed by XTC Luoyang has an excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and impact resistance has been successfully applied in this field.

Following test is according to ASTM G65 standard, which show XTC Cast Tungsten Carbide Welding Rope has almost the same result with import brand.

b) Spherical cast tungsten carbide series;

c) Mixed type of CTC+SFTC+ cemented carbide pellet;

d) Mixed series of above three categories.

5. Application

6. Application Instruction

Applying with oxyacetylene flame welding which has advantages to reduce operation cost but to get a smooth and durable welding surface.
